Plant of Immortality

It is said in the bible that the beauty secret of the legend Cleopatra is this legendary green short plant juice. This plant was actually the amazing Aloe Vera. Aloe Vera products are famous for their many benefits.

This magical plant is known for its myriad medicinal properties throughout various cultures. The plant was referred to as the "Plant of Immortality" by ancient Egyptians and the "Wand of Heaven" by Native Americans.

Other historical names for Aloe Vera, are the 'medicinal plant', and the 'miracle plant'. It has been used around the world for thousands of years because of its beneficial influences on humanities health. In Mesopotamia, the extraordinary effects of Aloe were recorded. Historians and philosophers often wrote about the blessings of Aloe.

According to one of the legends, Aristotle convinced Alexander the Great to conquer the Island of Socotra, so its ample stock of Aloe Vera could be used to treat wounded soldiers.

The Egyptian queens Nefertiti and Cleopatra used Aloe Vera juice to take care of their skin and it is even said they owe their beauty to Aloe. The Christian Holy Book states the use of Aloe in John 19:39, when the body of Jesus is embalmed. "With him came Nicodemus, the man who had come to Jesus at night. He brought about seventy-five pounds of perfumed ointment made from myrrh and aloes."

It has been proven that Aloe Vera contains a special element, to which the plant owes its extraordinary traits, namely polysaccharides.

Aloe Vera produces at least six natural antiseptics, which kills mold, bacteria, fungi and viruses. This plant is so powerful that researchers and scientists are looking into its potential as an AIDS and cancer-fighter (creates a more alkaline environment in your body, helps with immunity and to protect against certain diseases, such as cancer - which cannot survive in an alkaline environment).

Aloe Vera gel normally contains around 20 minerals, 12 vitamins, 18 amino acids and about 200 active plant compounds (phytonutrients). There are a plethora of uses of aloe vera gel for the skin.
